I don’t understand it. We selected a vendor that had a long track record, tons of published books and Fortune 500 clients; but when we rolled out the program, people thought it was a waste of time. Why won’t they use the training that we provided? Do they need a refresher course? Was it too complicated?
All I want to do is give our employees and partners the training they need, when they need it. But every sales program I’ve tried looks the same and, at best, only about 20% is retained and used. We need a program that our people will love, that’s intuitive, highly effective, and that we can take ownership of so it doesn’t cost so much. Is that asking too much?
If a training program is not totally tailored to the business organization involved, there will be barriers to implementation.
Training programs don’t deliver ROI because company surroundings don’t support utilizing what team members have just learned.
Training programs need to be IMPACTFUL, and most sales training programs do not generate lasting results.
